Newly renovated and equipped throughout (2016). Height adjustable beds in every room. 15mins appointments. Gradual increase with the aim to build to 4 patients per hour.
Practice training style:
Learner-centred with personal development plans in place. Tutorial topics tailored according to learner’s needs. Sharing of knowledge within the team encouraged. FOAMed. Vertical learning and teaching encouraged.
Method/forms of teaching:
Protected designated tutorial time weekly. Individualised teaching alongside joint tutorials with other registrars in the practice. Case discussions and random case note analysis. Corridor teaching. Wave consulting. Supervisor always accessible. Planned joint consultations each week with supervisor observing. Practical procedures. Team clinical meetings. Vertical teaching between GPT1/2 and GPT3/4 registrars, along with other clinicians in-house and with medical students.
Procedures reg will be able to undertake during placements:
Skin lesion excisions, Implanon insertions and removals, Mirena insertions and removals, joint injections, plastering of fractures, suturing of wounds

Emergency button in each room. Never alone in the practice. Staff always at reception.
