Principal Supervisors Profile:
Dr Louise Butler - Louise has been supervising Registrars for more than 10 years both in the Northern Territory and Tasmania. Interests include women’s health, aboriginal health and education and training.

Practice training style:
We are a teaching practice and place of learning offering 1 on 1 teaching, weekly clinical meetings and daily access to supervisors.
Method/forms of teaching:
Weekly tutorial, case analysis, observed consults, video consultations, debrief time, one on one quarantined teaching time, corridor teaching.
Procedures reg will be able to undertake during placements:
Management of emergency presentations, simple skin excisions, iron infusions, use of ultrasound

Therapeutic Guidelines, UpToDate, AMH
Emergency buttons in rooms, doctor closest to door, never alone in practice

Practice expectation of registrar:
ur registrars benefit from a commitment to teaching and learning from and within a rural community. Registrars should be prepared to participate in weekly clinical meetings, medical student teaching and dedicated one on one GP supervisor teaching.
Information about town and facilities:
This practice requires a long commute including a ferry ride. The commute is usually shared with supervisors providing teaching opportunities.
