Hobart is the capital of Tasmania with a population of approximately 195,800. The second largest city is Launceston in the north of the state with a population of approximately 98,000. Burnie is another large city on the northwest coast.

In Hobart you can visit Salamanca market, visit the many art galleries showcasing local talent and tour the many historical buildings. There are a variety of outdoor activities including fly fishing, skiing on Ben Lomond, bushwalking - featuring the magnificent overland track form Cradle mountain to Lake St Clair, water sports - all in a pristine environment.
