Run activities and camps for children with type 1 diabetes
as well as awareness campaigns and educational events about
all types of diabetes

- Family camp - for children less than
6 years old with type 1 diabetes and their families - 10 -12
October 2008 at Woodfield Lodge, Dysart
- Junior Camp – for children with type 1 diabetes
aged between 7 – 12 years
- 14 – 18 January 2009, Camp Clayton, Ulverstone
- Teenager Camp - for children with type 1 diabetes aged between 13 – 17 years - 10 – 14 January 2009, Camp Clayton, Ulverstone
Medical practitioners required to work with credentialled diabetes educators and to provide assistance for any medical emergency
- Pollie Pedal Bike Ride to regional centres and schools to raise funds and awareness of diabetes - 27 February – 1 March 2009
- Ongoing Expo’s to provide information to communities about diabetes
National Diabetes Week
- National Diabetes
Week will be held between 13 - 19 July 2008. We are planning
a series of rural seminars focusing on diabetes education and healthy
cooking.
We will be running these seminars in the Huon Valley, Scottsdale and Burnie but as yet have to confirm venues , times etc.
